How to install/ hookup internet on a laptop?
I currently have a laptop (compaq presario, a couple of years old) that I am using for school purposes without the internet. I also have a desktop computer (HP pavilion, also a couple of years old) that had DSL (it is connected through a modem). I want to install/hook up internet on my laptop to the DSL internet connection I have on my desktop. How do I do this? And do I need to contact my service provider also?
Is there any possible way for my laptop to have wireless internet, without changing the internet type on my desktop?
Get a wireless router and no, your ISP has nothing to do with that. If your laptop doesn’t have a wireless capability, then you need to get that. Try http://www.pricewatch.com for both, the the adapter and the router
