DELL LAPTOP COMPUTERS SUPPORT
Dell laptop wont play DVD movies…?
My mother-in-law has a Dell D610 laptop and it wont play a DVD movie. When she puts it in, it says something about missing drivers for MPEG4… I believe I’m on the right track for fixing it by going to Dell and downloading something, however, I don’t know what driver or program to download. Here is where I am right now… http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?os=WW1&osl=EN&catid=32&impid=-1&servicetag=&SystemID=LAT_PNT_PM_D610&hidos=WW1&hidlang=en&TabIndex= Is the download I need on that page or do I need something else? Any computer gurus please advise. Thanx!
You are missing a codec. What you need to do is download a software that contains most of the popular codecs to watch movies. I can recommend you to download the K-lite Codec Pack Standard 4.5.3 which is the latest version. After installing the program you should be able to watch the movie. you can download the program going to link below.
