DELL NOTEBOOKS ADAPTERS
dell inspiron?
i have a dell insprion and when i bought it best buy told me that there was a built in wireless wifi but when i try to get it working it does not work. i have a notebook adapter that i slid in on side of my computer and that doesn’t work either. does anyone know the problem, i need internet quick because i have alot of assignments to do. please help

We really need to know WHICH Dell Inspiron (as they don’t all have Wifi).
Is the wireless switch turned on? My colleague at work struggled for weeks to get connected, and the reason he could not was because he had not slid the switch across to turn on the power to the WiFi adapter inside.
On most Dell laptops you can turn WiFi on or off with a keyboard key combination. Look for a key labeled Fn and another with a symbol like a wireless antenna. Hold down the Fn key and tap the wireless one. You should see a blue light come on or go out each time you tap this combination.
