installing windows xp pro for HP laptop.?
Hello all,
I just bought my wife a HP G60 120us notebook 15 inch widescreen. She doesn’t like Windows vista so I’m planning to install windows xp pro. Before I install it, I went on the hp website and checked out the drivers for this particular machine. They only had a little list of drivers available. I have a dell laptop and they have a whole bunch of drivers i can chose from. this is my first time installing windows on a hp laptop. Can anyone tell me if i install windows xp what drivers will i need to install. Please advise….Thanks!

typically, when you install Win Xp on a laptop in general, you need the following drivers:
Video
Audio
Network
WLAN
Chipset (maybe)
These are the basic ones, when done with installing these then look at your Device Manager to see the ones you still need.
