Why is my computers battery life lasting so little?
I just recently got as a gift a brand new Gateway laptop, model M7343U i don’t really have much experience with computers let alone laptops so i dont know if this is normal please enlighten me if so, the problem is ive noticed that my battery life doesnt last long ( Aprox 2:30 minutes at the most) I’ve asked some of my friends who have laptops how long thier battery lasts and there answer is always from 4-6 hours! is my problem typical and normal? Do i have to put up with this short lasting battery life or can i just simply buy a better battery?

Maybe your hard drive is slow to load defrag your computer regularly for faster hard drive. The faster it is the less demand you are going to put on the hard drive and you battery.
Cut down on programs background, itunes for example because it just add to cpu load and cut your batteries life.
