Wireless shows up on computer but not on laptop?
The guy below us lets us connect to his linksys (him and my husband are friends). yesterday, my laptop would connect to it but today it isnt showing up in the connect to a network thingie. i have an HP laptop, he has an emachines computer and his connects and he has 5 bars. how do i fix this?
Three things could be the problem
1. Your wireless switch on the laptop could have been switched off by mistake
2. They guy changed the linksys broadcast to a network that your wireless adapter doesn’t understand. like Wireless-G or Wireless-N. This can be likely if you have an older laptop and he has a newer linksys
3. There could be something that was moved around and it is blocking the connection enough so it doesn’t appear on you laptop.
