Redmi Note 12 Series Launch On Oct 27: Processor, Camera & Other Expected Specs

Xiaomi has announced the launch of the Redmi Note 12 series on October 27 in its home country of China. The company shared several posts on Chinese microblogging site Weibo revealing the release date and other specifications of the upcoming phones. Xiaomi has confirmed that the series will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC. The chipset was recently launched and is said to offer long battery life as well as performance.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 series is expected to have three phones: Redmi Note 12, Note 12 Pro and Note 12 Pro+. In a post on Weibo, Xiaomi has confirmed that the Redmi Note 12 series will have triple cameras on the back. The range will include a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 sensor camera with optical image stabilization (OIS).

In another Weibo post, the company revealed the color variants of the upcoming series. The Redmi Note 12 series will be available in two color options, Shallow Dream Galaxy and Time Blue.

This range of smartphones offers up to 210W fast charging support and may have a 200MP camera on the back. For comparison, the Redmi Note 11 series is equipped with a 108MP main sensor and charges up to 67W. The Redmi Note 12 series was recently spotted on certification sites 3C and TENAA. According to the 3C listing, the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ could be equipped with 210W fast charging support, while the Note 12 Pro could be equipped with 120W fast charging. The standard variant of the series, the Redmi Note 12, may come with fast charging support. 67 W.

Xiaomi could have an AMOLED display panel on the front with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The Redmi Note 12 series can run Android 13 OS with MIUI layer on top. The standard Redmi Note 12 may be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity processor. The Redmi Note 12 Pro and Redmi Note 12 Pro+ are rumored to be powered by the MediaTek Dimension 1080 SoC.
