Galaxy Z Fold 4 Gets New Android 13 Beta Update
Samsung is about to roll out the stable One UI 5.0 update based on Android 13 for the Galaxy Z Fold 4. The company has released a new beta update for the latest foldable version. This might be the last beta before the public launch.
The latest Android 13 beta for Galaxy Z Fold 4 is available for registered users in China, India and Europe. The new phone firmware version is ZVK3 in India and ZVK1 in China, and the OTA (over the air) package weighs around 500MB. The list of changes is slightly different for units in China and the rest of the world. But there is not much to say here. Samsung fixed a few bugs and that's it. This hints at an upcoming stable release as the company has already fixed most of the bugs.
With this release, Samsung fixed the issue of keyboard overlapping in landscape mode (via). Also fixed an issue with incorrect stretching of the music widget on the lock screen when using Good Lock. The Korean company also fixed a search error in my files. The application returned no results when searching for filenames. Other fixes include memory leaks in Camera Pro mode and system UI issues
As you'd expect, only Galaxy Z Fold 4 users enrolled in the One UI 5.0 beta program will receive this OTA update. You can check for the update or wait for a notification from the Software Update menu in the Settings app. Everyone else will have to wait for Samsung's stable release, which is coming soon. The Korean company plans to update its latest foldable to Android 13 this month.
Samsung started rolling out the stable Android 13 update to Galaxy devices last month. It first released the new Android version for the Galaxy S22 series. The company tracked updates to the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S21, and Galaxy Note 20 series yesterday. The next Galaxy Z Fold 4 may be in the works, though we don't have a confirmation yet. Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy Z Fold 3, and Galaxy Z Flip 3 will soon receive One UI 5.0 based on Android 13. Samsung will likely update all of these devices at the same time. We will let you know when the rollout begins.
