Masano is a new artist on the music scene. At just 23 years of age, he achieved remarkable success. Afterlife's first EP, In My System , was well received and performed well on Beatport, reaching number one on the Beatport release chart. The remix of "Drowned" reached the top ten in all genres, and all four tracks from the EP reached the top five on the house and techno charts.
The artist is from Tale of Us, Stefan Bodzi, Anna and Against the Mind. Indeed, Masano proved to be a master artist.
Best of all is the producer's lively, optimistic and ferocious sound on his latest release, Human Aura. The tracks include dark beats, syncopation, melodic vocals, heavy bass and more.
Masano made his first dance music debut with his car-playing father, "Insomnia." Other artists he listened to himself, such as Camelfat, Eric Prydz, and Pete Tong, helped solidify his love of house and techno.
As the artist grew up, he worked on the family farm and in various restaurants. As for music, he sees himself working in the music industry, but says it's more of a hobby than a career.
"I started looking for any kind of job in music. I wanted to get practical experience with it, like helping people at the event doors, trying to see how it works and getting more information about it," Masano said. I just performed on the side and slowly saw myself getting better and better. Then I saw my music explode and got a lot of support. Slowly I started to think.
Instead of working, he said, he started devoting more time to music production, which he still loves. "[There was] no moment where I realized, 'Ah, now this is my job.') It happened." A lot of the first releases were done during covid so I don't really know how big it was before covid. He finished. I can go around every week. So it's like... I make a lot of money [from this] and I have a long career."
Masano says he finds his voice doesn't fit other classifications and has the potential to start a new subgenre. "I started a new concept," he added. "It's called futuristic, aggressive, high-energy music aimed at the future of my style."
Regarding the advice given to the youth. "Focus on the music first and don't worry about the little things that might distract you. When the music comes out, the rest will come. It's easy..."
