OPPO Reno8 Z 5G REVIEW: Stylish Midranger That Boosts Your Creativity In Photography
Whether you're shooting for grief or keeping a library of memories, a phone that can take bright, vivid photos should be part of your arsenal.
One of OPPO's latest mid-range devices, the Reno8 Z 5G does the trick as a powerful smartphone that lets you unleash your creativity while practicing your phonetics. Equipped with a triple rear camera and a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G chip, this mid-range machine allows you to not only take photos, but also play games.
We previously had this device's predecessor, the Reno7 Z, but the Reno8 Z will be a slimmer option for those looking for a new phone that won't get in the way.
design and specifications
The Reno8 Z looks sleek with its matte finish. Our review unit came in Star Black, perfect for those who want a quieter phone design. Up front is a 6.43-inch glossy display with an in-display fingerprint sensor for easy unlocking.
While most phones no longer have a 3.5mm audio jack, this Reno still has one, making it easy to plug in your favorite headphones to listen to music and make calls.
Under the hood, this device packs 128GB of internal storage and 8GB of RAM with a 5G-enabled Snapdragon 695 processor. It also has a 4500mAh battery with 33W fast charging.
Multimedia, gaming and battery life
Reno8 Zn videos are a pleasure to watch. Along with a big, bright screen, this phone has speakers that can fill a room with sound. It also makes the game fun.
After not playing a MOBA for a while, I tried Arena of Valor on this phone and couldn't put it down. There were no glitches or lags in gameplay, and the long battery life allowed me to play for three straight hours without needing a charge.
When I'm not using it for gaming, this phone lasts up to eight hours on a single charge. It took just over an hour to fully charge with 33W SuperVOOC fast charging.
A nice feature is the breathing light that illuminates the edge of the rear camera lens when charging or answering calls.
camera
The Reno8 Z is touted as a portrait star and, like the Reno7 Z, produces sharp photos with creamy bokeh. The background blur in photos looks so natural that I was able to adjust it to be softer or sharper. Even at maximum blur, the bokeh is unnatural.
On the other hand, for casual photography, the camera, which has a 64MP main, 2MP mono and 2MP macro shooters, excels in well-lit environments. Colors are vivid and details are not washed out.
However, the Reno8 Za couldn't take photos indoors because the photos are blurry and not as bright as in sunlight.
Selfies with the 16MP front-facing camera look better in natural light, and while there's nice bokeh in portrait mode, some details look blurry. I had photos where I could see that the gaps between my hairs were not blurred. My background looks like photoshop.
But what surprised me the most is that this phone is rich in gallery editing features. You can edit various aspects of the photo such as B. Remove blur points from a photo, change the blur to focus the subject, apply filters and even add text.
Judgment
The OPPO Reno8 Z 5G is a stylish smartphone that impresses as a daily driver. With its cameras and great photo editing features, Phonetography is the perfect companion. Besides, it is more suitable as a phone for other tasks and games.
The Reno8 Z 5G is available in Dawnlight Gold and Starlight Black colors at OPPO stores, authorized retailers and online via Lazada and Shopee .
