Launched in two phases, the first wave ran from October 10 to November 16 and allowed users to combine live streaming and football through creative videos or football-inspired photos. The 10 most creative participants received a live phone and a soccer ball. Before the start of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, the first channel plan was instrumental in generating interest in the tournament. The second wave, which ran from November 14th to December 31st, inspired participants to have fun on TikTok, Facebook and Instagram, complete online and offline challenges and their celebrations during and after the FIFA™ World Cup Qatar 2022 to share with fans around the world.
To reach a wider and younger audience, the second channel also featured soccer player and famous street influencer Jack Downer , bringing the noise to the streets. Jack invited people to take part in a street race which he filmed with a vivo X80 camera. He then shared an emotional video on TikTok with millions of fans to spark conversations about football entertainment and the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. As of December 8 , the #vivoGiveItaShot TikTok contest has garnered 380,000 user-made videos and 744 million views online.
By combining the Meta platform's augmented reality technology with the front and rear cameras of vivo phones, vivo has also introduced some Facebook user experience filters for this online campaign.
