Vivo X Fold 2 Tipped To Get Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, Could Launch In First Half Of 2023
Vivo launched its Vivo X Fold and Vivo X Fold+ foldable smartphones earlier this year. Now, a new leak has revealed some of the expected features of Vivo's upcoming foldable model. The upcoming Vivo X Fold 2 is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. A reliable leak also suggests that the phone will have a 2K resolution foldable display and a front display and l. The internal display may have an under-display fingerprint scanner. The leak also hints at a launch timeline for the phone, which is expected to launch in the first half of 2023.
Digital Chat Station has shared some of the expected features of the Vivo X Fold 2 on Chinese microblogging site Weibo. According to the leaker, the foldable phone will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and have a 2K resolution foldable display. The phone is expected to have two under-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanners.
Additionally, the leaker said that the upcoming Vivo foldable could feature a Sony IMX866 primary camera with OIS support. Digital Chat Station also noted that the upcoming device could be thinner and lighter than its predecessor, the Vivo X Fold.
In another post on Monday, the insider also mentioned that the Vivo X Fold 2 could launch alongside the X Flip in the first half of 2023. The Vivo X Fold was launched in China in April alongside the Vivo X Note.
Powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, the Vivo X Fold features an 8.03-inch foldable Samsung E5 display with 2K+ (1916 x 2160 pixels), 120Hz refresh rate and 4:4 aspect ratio. 3.55. The phone also features a 6.53-inch Samsung E5 external display.
