Redmi 12C was launched in China last year and is expected to debut globally soon. Ahead of the company's official announcement of the smartphone, the poster revealed the design and some key specifications of the Redmi 12C phone. The phone is expected to have a 6.71-inch screen, a powerful speaker, and a 5,000mAh battery. The design of the phone showcases an AI dual rear camera with LED flash. Color options have also leaked through the poster.
Consultant Sudhanshu Ambhore shared a poster of the Redmi 12C on Twitter revealing the design and specifications of the smartphone ahead of its global launch. The upcoming smartphone is expected to be available in four color options: black, blue, mint green and lavender. The phone is expected to feature a dual rear camera setup, led by a 50MP AI camera and LED flash on the sides. The poster hints that the phone will have a non-slip, minimalist design.
Furthermore, the phone could be powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC and is expected to house a 5,000mAh battery. The global variant of the Redmi 12C is said to come with a 6.71-inch display, 3 years of experience, memory expansion, a powerful speaker and a fingerprint sensor on the back.
An earlier report indicated that the phone will come with up to 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Redmi 12C was actually launched in China last year with a 6.71-inch Full HD+ (1650 x 720 pixels) display. The Chinese version has an aspect ratio of 20:6:9 and a maximum brightness of 500 nits. The phone has a 5MP front camera and a dual rear camera with a 50MP main sensor. It seems that the global version of the Redmi 12C will have most of the same features as the Chinese version.
The Redmi 12C in China comes with eMMC 5.1 flash storage and expandable storage up to 512GB via microSD card. In China, the phone is available in four different colors: Shadow Black, Sea Blue, Mint Green and Lavender.
