Pune To Host Fourth Y20 Consultation Meeting
Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting and Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Anurag Singh Thakur, will be the keynote speaker at the 4th Youth 20 (Y20) Consultative Meeting to be held on March 11 at Symbiosis International University (SIU). in Laval. Y20 is the official consultative forum for young people from G20 member countries to engage in dialogue. The theme of the fourth Y20 consultation is "Peacemaking and Reconciliation: The Beginning of an Era Without War: The Philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam," a statement from the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports said.
The six sub-themes of the workshop are 'Politics of Vikas' in India as a mediator for conflict resolution, climate protection, conflict and gender reform, education, legal reform which is necessary for social change and future work. The speakers are international and national youth working in the fields of gender justice, human rights advocacy, representatives in UNESCO's SDG4 youth network to transform education and committed to social development through democratic leadership and legal reform to build peace. The audience will include young delegates, competition winners, guests and students from India and G20 countries,” the statement said.
Indian and international students will host a cultural program on March 10 with activities by local artists, product launches by local NGOs and pilot villages to showcase Indian handicrafts.
