The Vivo X Flip is coming and its name has just been confirmed. This phone has been certified by Google Play and clearly states that the device will be called Vivo X Flip.

The company's first foldable phone has been named Vivo X Flip.

This isn't the company's first foldable smartphone, but it will be the first smartphone with a foldable shell. The Vivo X Fold and Vivo X Fold+ are already out, but they're book-style foldable phones.

Since both phones carry the X Fold branding, it makes sense to call the foldable device the X Flip. Until now, Samsung has standardized the names "Fold" and "Flip".

The Vivo X Flip is rumored to launch next month, at least in China. A global version may come later, but it is not yet clear. There is no official information yet.

It will have Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, 12GB RAM and more.

In fact, the Vivo X Flip has appeared on Geekbench, confirming that the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 is the SoC of choice. This variant of the phone comes with 12GB of RAM, but an 8GB RAM model could also be developed.

The device will support 44W fast charging according to 3C certification. Now, we are reportedly reviewing the 6.8-inch foldable flagship here. It will be a FullHD+ panel with a 120Hz refresh rate.

A 50MP primary camera is also mentioned, and the same goes for a 12MP ultra-wide camera. It is believed that the phone will have a 4400 mAh battery.

Based on the design of the previous Vivo X Flip, it will have a circular camera island at the back and a sizable display at the bottom. Competition is heating up in the foldable market, so let's hope more of these devices make their way outside of China.

A Vivo X Flip post has confirmed that Vivo's first flip will soon make headlines for Android.
