So far, OPPO has released two foldable book-type devices: Find N and Find N2. OPPO Find N3 is expected to launch later this year and it could be bigger than expected.
Part of its appeal was that OPPO Find N and Find N2 were very compact. When folded, they're perfect for one-handed use, and when unfolded, you've got a big 7.1-inch screen to work with.
Although these two phones were first launched in China, they have intrigued quite a few people. I've reviewed both devices, and they're nothing like any other book-like device, in a good way. Also, the build quality is outstanding.
OPPO Find N3 could be bigger than expected with an 8-inch screen
However, according to recent rumors, OPPO Find N3 could be bigger than its predecessors. This information comes from Digital Chat Station, a well-known Chinese whistleblower. It claims to include an 8-inch main screen. It is said to offer a resolution of 2268 x 2440 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz.
If true, that would essentially put the phone on par with the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and other book-style foldable devices in terms of size. For some this is great, for others not so much. OPPO Find N and Find N2 were practically the only ones in their segment. No other book-style fold compares to this one.
There are also rumors of a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.
In any case, the tipster shared more information about the device. It claims that Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will power the phone. In addition, there is a 50-megapixel main camera (Sony IM890 sensor), as well as a 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera (Sony IMX581 sensor) and a 32-megapixel telephoto lens.
The author also mentions 20MP and 32MP selfie cameras. 4805mAh battery. The Find N3 is going to be very slim, according to the dump truck.
But it remains to be seen if this information is correct. Find N3 is not expected to appear before the end of this year.
The OPPO Find N3 message may lose its appeal because it is larger than expected and first appeared in Android headlines
