Dedicated AI processor unit
The ZV-E1 incorporates a specialized AI processor for next-generation object detection and tracking through human position estimation. This device features three new AI-powered modes that improve camera stabilization, autofocus, and auto-frame. Dynamic Active mode offers built-in 5-axis optical stabilization and 30% better stabilization for faster, unexpected movements when capturing everyday scenes. Framing Stabilizer combines detection and stabilization with artificial intelligence that allows you to determine the position of the tracked object in the frame while maintaining smooth movements.
AI Auto Framing automatically reframes to keep your subject in focus, even when mounted on a tripod. Adjust the frame tracking speed to follow the subject slowly or quickly, depending on your preference. You can even determine whether the frame starts immediately or delayed. The Sony ZV-E1's autofocus can also be adjusted proportionally to compensate for focus breathing, change focus on racks, or react to subject changes.
Create a distinctive cinematic look
Import LUT files into your ZV-E1 and save them to S-Log3 for custom color grading for a consistent look while reducing post-production time. This type of customization shouldn't be reserved for short films or still images, and it doesn't have to be with the Cinematic Vlog setup, either. By enabling cinematic vlogs, you can adjust the cinematic settings through an intuitive menu to get a custom look for your vlog content. Choose from five "Looks" with different contrast and saturation and four "Moods" with different hues.
More new modes and features
In addition to aesthetic controls, the ZV-E1 offers additional modes and features to customize your shot. If you're looking to bridge the gap between automatic and manual control, the My Picture Style setting is for you. You can customize your own style settings from the Background Defocus, Brightness, Color and Creative Look presets while keeping the rest of the settings automatic. Multi-Face Detection automatically adjusts bokeh and focus when another subject enters the frame. For minor adjustments, the bracket switch next to the record button widens or narrows your aperture by one stop.
Are you shooting from a bank or cargo and don't want to worry about the focus settings? Customize the Product Showcase for you. Just press a button and let the auto focus automatically switch from your face to a specific subject. For creative and dynamic clips for your vlogs, the ZV-E1 has integrated time-lapse recording functions with adjustable frame rates and internal timers from one second to one minute.
Vendor-focused design and connectivity components
The ZV-E1 camera is equipped with an internal 3-capsule microphone. You can change the direction of the sound to front, back or over the camera. This specification is automatically selected when tracking states such as object detection are enabled. The included windscreen attaches to the multi-camera to reduce distortion from wind noise. If you want to add your own audio interface, no problem. The ZV-E1 has a 3.5 mm input socket for this. The multi-function shoe mentioned above can transmit compatible digital audio directly without cables.
The detachable side opening LCD screen is easy to adjust for selfies or high and low angle shots. Intuitive touchscreen controls make it easy to operate, read and navigate the menus.
UVC/UAC protocols can turn the ZV-E1 into a webcam for live video streaming up to UHD 4K via a USB connection from your computer or even your smartphone with a compatible cable. The ZV-E1 can connect to the Creator's Cloud via a mobile app, simplifying your workflow from capture to editing. Manage and edit your video from the cloud by connecting with other creators around the world.
If you're looking for a mirrorless camera with dedicated video recording, the ZV-E1 is for you.
