EDGE23: Techno India Salt Lake Hosts Science And Tech Fest

Techno India Salt Lake held its annual Techno Management Festival EDGE'23 on 12, 13 and 14 May 2023. It was organized by Geekonix, the official science and technology club. The theme of this year's 17th festival was "Origins" and was held at various locations around Techno India's main campus.

“It is my great pleasure to connect with the brilliant minds of this generation by organizing this festival for many years. It creates a fusion of young minds and a platform for the germination of new ideas through the creation of an inter-university space," said Professor Giconics and co-author Professor Giconics.

Over 500 participants registered in the three-day inter-university festival with around 40 events. Eleven college subclubs jointly organize a series of events tailored to the interests of the clubs.

EDGE'23 focused on skills in events like Robo Soccer-Robo Battle, where contestants had to overcome several challenging obstacles using a remote-controlled robot. The kit was made by the members of the Robopalz Robotics Club from the garbage collected in the campus.

The festival also hosts exciting gaming events like Valorant and FIFA organized by gaming club Cyber ​​Crusade. Participants appreciated the infrastructure of the event, which enhanced the overall gaming experience. Day 1 concluded with qualifying for the first round of all competitive events and EDGE parties Comedians Apurva Gupta and Abhijit Ganguly performed a hilarious stand-up act that made the audience laugh.

The second day was marked by a place in the semi-finals and was inaugurated with a photo exhibition organized by his photo club Infocus. “EDGE strives to convey a universal message that photography is about exploring and learning about our surroundings. Such competitions create a sense of harmony among the students and we wanted to highlight the perspectives of experienced photographers in Kolkata where we can gather the latest trends in photography.
