Xiaomi has launched the latest addition to its Redmi line of phones, the Redmi 12. Redmi is a sub-brand of Xiaomi (one of many sub-brands) that recycles past innovations from Xiaomi's flagship devices into more affordable models.
Accessibility is the key word here. The design of the Redmi 12 is similar to other models with a glass back panel and is only 8.17mm thick. This phone also packs a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support, which Xioami claims can deliver 23 days of standby time or 16 hours of video playback.
Finally, this phone is powered by a MediaTek Helio G88 processor, which isn't the fastest chip, but it can handle everyday tasks without a hitch. The phone is available in Midnight Black, Sky Blue and Polar Silver with 4GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage, though expandable via a microSD card slot.
The Redmi 12 is set to go on sale worldwide, and this time it already includes North America. The phone will go on sale from July 9 and will cost $149, which is around £120 or AU$220, although an official price was not available at the time of writing.
