The Zenfone 10 Is The One Android Phone That Could Pull Me Away From My IPhone 14 Pro

This article is going to be a love letter to the iPhone 13 mini, so get ready.

When Apple introduced the iPhone 12 series, it introduced the world's smallest 5G phone: the iPhone 12 mini. As someone who doesn't like the size of the iPhone Pro Max, and frankly any size iPhone since the iPhone 8, I was delighted. However, people were confused by the battery life, so I decided to wait a year to see if Apple could fix it.

Enter the beautiful iPhone 13 mini. I traded it in for an iPhone 12 Pro and picked up the phone right away on launch day. It took me about a day to recover from the shock of having such a small phone again, and one day I fell in love with the mini. It was a perfect phone. It could do everything I wanted on a mobile phone, and I could actually hold the phone in one hand and reach the top of the screen. What a concept!

Apple solved the battery life problem and I spent a year with the best iPhone I've had in years. Personally, I've owned every iPhone since the iPhone 3GS and I can say that the iPhone 13 mini was my favorite after the iPhone 4.

So I was sad when Apple announced that they weren't ditching the mini for the Plus with the iPhone 14. Despite clinging to the past, I decided to accept my fate and went back to the Pro model with the iPhone 14 Pro. It was a great phone, and as a regular hiker and camper, I appreciate the new satellite SOS emergency feature.

However, I think about the iPhone 13 mini and how much more - FUN - it was actually more fun than the iPhone 14 Pro. Enter the Zenfone 10.

Will I really switch to Android?

Asus today officially unveiled the Zenfone 10, the next generation of its small but powerful Android smartphone. I remember when Zenfone 9 reviews came out and people took it as an iPhone mini in the Android world. Then I understood why, but at the time I was happy with the iPhone 13 mini and still not traumatized by the death.

Stuck with the Zenfone 10 and iPhone 14 Pro, I can't help but feel the urge to return to the land of small phones. Forget the specs – I know the phone is loaded with features like the latest Qualcomm processor, great camera features and a great display, but the sheer size and sheer size is what makes the phone so magical.

I'd love to get my hands on one, but with someone so entrenched in the Apple ecosystem at this point, throwing an Android phone in the middle would ruin everything else. While the Zenfone 10 looks great, I found it to be another benchmark that can take me from the Pro models to the iPhone 13 mini.

I have been on the iPhone upgrade program since it was introduced many years ago. To be honest, this might be the first time I've decided to forgo the annual update and stick to the past. The Zenfone 10 is another reminder to me that we small phone lovers have never had a better time with the iPhone mini in recent years.

Maybe Apple will bring it back as the new iPhone SE. This is the best hope we have now. In the meantime, I'll be looking at the Zenfone 10 and wanting an iPhone.
