The Vivo V27 5G is set to be a phone with a great 50MP camera, which recently won the Gadget of the Week award. But do you need to know all that? We spent a little more time experimenting without the camera.

Out of the box, it's a beautifully designed device. There is a large curved screen on the front and three cameras on the back. Although the device looks stylish, it is not balanced when placed on the back, which can cause damage to the cameras. The included plastic case does not protect the camera mount, so we recommend a high quality case. There is already a thin film applied to the screen.

The 6.78-inch AMOLED display offers crisp and clear images with a 120Hz refresh rate. Its screen makes watching videos and browsing social networks a breeze.

We tested PUBG Mobile, a fairly demanding mobile game, and found that the device offers smooth gameplay without draining too much battery. The MediaTek Dimensity 7200 processor and 8 GB of RAM are responsible for this performance. The Android-based Funtouch 13 operating system offers an Ultra Game mode that should boost the device's gaming performance. There is no input or output lag while playing.

The battery has a standard capacity of 4600 mAh, which allows the device to run all day on a single battery. The phone comes with a powerful 66W charger that can fully charge the battery in 50 minutes.

With this kind of performance and display, it's a shame it doesn't have stereo speakers. The device does not have a 3.5 mm jack. But when Bluetooth headphones are standard, it's not a big deal for most users.

The device has 256GB of internal storage, but there is no expandable storage. This can be frustrating for some, especially those who want to take a lot of photos and videos with fancy cameras.
