The best Minecraft builds can inspire your own creations, big or small. Let's be honest: after ten years, even ten days, in the infinite worlds of Minecraft, it can be difficult to come up with new and amazing ideas. Luckily, dedicated artists and architects have created some stunning structures for your viewing pleasure.
Some of the ideas below took years to create and you might not be able to entertain them at your own pace, but something here might spark a brainstorm that will lead you to your own single player worlds or Minecraft servers. Otherwise, it's surprising to see some of the incredible things that can be achieved in one of the best PC games of the decade. This list will take you to Middle-earth, Tamriel, and even the RMS Titanic and back home for tea. As you'll find in our selection of the best Minecraft seeds and Minecraft skins, this collection of the best Minecraft builds offers something for every type of gamer.
The best Minecraft builds are:
titanic
A historical icon, there are plenty of Titanic Minecraft mega builds out there, but we love tutorials, so this superb ten-part study by Richlarrousse is our favorite. Not that we ever have time to watch it in our world, but we can dream.
This RMS Titanic is also built entirely in Minecraft Vanilla. So you should focus on textures, but you can put some nice Minecraft shaders in your world to make the water look more realistic and really impress with your historical version of the ship.
Minas Tiri
In addition to all the real-world architecture that serves as inspiration, there is some that sparks the imagination in the realm of high fantasy. Take for example this amazing rendition of Minas Tirith, it's amazing.
It was posted on reddit by u/Cornbass and the community offered their suggestions along with their note: "Now burn and dance."
Minecraft in Middle Earth
The only thing that might impress us more is if someone gets to work on a Minecraft build that spans all of Middle-earth itself, all of those famous places from…wait a minute? you are serious
Excuse me; We've just been told that this Middle-earth project is underway, and while it's not finished yet, it's already one of the best Minecraft servers you can visit. If you have any problems, you can apply to participate in the construction.
Crafts of Westeros
No great collection of Minecraft builds is complete without something Game of Thrones inspired. Here is a small part of the huge and impressive WesterosCraft server.
In the photo above, the city of Sunniza with a particularly attractive and highly reflective sea surface. Don't forget to check out the great work being done on King's Landing in Minecraft.
ADVICE
Taking the fantasy theme a step further, the Consilium of Creolucis Dwarf City, whose construction is so spectacular that we have a hard time choosing a single image to show how fantastic it is as a Minecraft map. . Not only is it big, but it's the dictionary definition of big.
Adamantis
How does epic sound block sixty million mega minecraft? The limits were really pushed by jamdelaney1, who spent three months creating the sprawling city of Adamantis. This large metropolis extends to the top of a hill and is adorned with large gates with pools and large colonnades.
Meridia Wizarding College
Adamantis is reminiscent of the College of Mages of Meridia, a stunning Minecraft build created by Block Fortress last year and inspired by Skyrim's Winterhold College. It can even beat Minecraft's Pottercraft server.
Illuminated maze
Why not literally get lost in Minecraft? Created by Redditor u/Chris-P, this maze is basically a Minecraft maze from The Shining. The hotel from Stanley Kubrick's horror classic can't be recreated due to its absurd appearance, but considering it was created in survival mode, it's pretty impressive.
New door trim
In recent history, New Port Notch has become one of the most popular Minecraft projects of all time, even spawning its own subreddit. Towering City is the work of just two players: LG193 and ThatDutchLad. It's so big you'll need your subway system to get around.
Create Azeroth
Then there's Crafting Azeroth, an ongoing project to recreate the entirety of World of Warcraft in Minecraft at 1:1 scale. It sounds silly - a madman's dream, really - but it works pretty well. This is helped by the fact that it's partially automated using voxelization, but it's still incredibly impressive, especially when experienced from the map itself.
Mondstadt
It took the Skyblock team over 400 hours to complete this impressive 1:1.15 scale build. From the iconic windmills of Mondstadt to the monumental seven statues, this faithful recreation of Genshin Impact's capital will impress even the casual fan of the anime game. Larger-than-life images include interiors such as Favonius Cathedral and Diluc Bar, The Angel's Share.
luminous night
You don't have to be an art historian to recognize the inspiration behind this particular building. Vincent van Gogh's "Starry Night" is considered by many to be the most beloved painting in the world. It's found on t-shirts, travel mugs, and bedspreads, so it was only a matter of time before we found it in Minecraft.
Over the course of a month, ChrisDaCow paired each of Van Gogh's brushes with his Minecraft texture packs to create this incredibly faithful recreation. His desire to bring his famous 2D post-impressionist painting to life on a 3D canvas offers a whole new perspective on this iconic work of art. It's beautiful and, you have to admit, a little scary to watch in 3D. It's hard not to imagine the same starry night with an eerie horror lurking in Van Gogh's fictional village.
The world at your fingertips
The 2022 game, Elden Ring, brought flagship status to the Souls series and sparked a new wave of fans. SeriousCraft's Elden World is a love letter and a project in itself. Although primarily an adventure map, it's still included in this list as a stunning recreation of The Lands Between.
The six kilometer map features over 20 different dungeons, including Stormveil Castle and even its very own Earth Tree. If you want to play 15 hours of Elden Ring outside of Elden Ring, this version is for you.
Tribute to HR Giger
HR Giger's iconic biomechanical models form the basis of Ridley Scott's series of Alien films, inspirational books, films and, of course, video games, including 2022's Scorn. Everbloom Games, a team of professional developers from Minecraft, credited Giger's work and it's as scary as you can imagine.
Between the vast shaded halls and the fully realized Space Knight in his cockpit, these blocky reconstructions manage to capture the spirit of Giger's work like never before. No one can easily hear you in space.
The Cyberpunk Project
While not a one-man recreation, Cyberpunk Project takes a lot of inspiration from Cyberpunk 2077's Night City, which they like to wear on their sleeve. The neon skyline of this sprawling metropolis is filled with towering skyscrapers and giant holograms.
The Cyberpunk project is the brainchild of Elysium Fire, and it's so big it could crash older rigs. If that doesn't qualify as a top-notch Minecraft Mega Build, we don't know what will.
Novigrad
Elysium Fire is also responsible for another incredibly detailed megastructure. Like Project Cyberpunk, Elysium Fire's Novigrad is not a copycat of the Novigrad you may know from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The team took a lot of inspiration from the medieval design of the building's streets and elegant castle towers. We have to admit, we had so much fun exploring Geralt of Rivia's beloved location that this version of Novigrad boasts a handcrafted port that puts its predecessors to shame.
And here are the best Minecraft builds that have come out of the brilliant global architects at Mojang - and we're sure there will be more new builds with the Minecraft 1.2o release date. If you're inspired to create your own server, check out our Minecraft hosting guide to play the building game with your friends. Alternatively, you can stay in adventure mode and stumble upon your ready-made Minecraft village - beware of the many Minecraft monsters roaming the land. If you are in conflict, you may need a rescue compass to recover lost items.
