When we saw the Vivo V29e teaser before its launch in India, the vivo V29 beat the finish line. In fact, the V29 will be available in more than 39 markets including India, India, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Turkey, Mexico and several European markets.
Sure, the phone debuted in Europe earlier this month, but there were no details in the announcement, especially pricing and availability. We believe Vivo wants to wait until they are ready to launch the phone in multiple markets at once.
Bad news: Pricing and availability will be announced by region. However, vivo.com is the only EU sister site that has a page for the V29, all the others have nothing to show for it yet. And the EU website has not been updated with any information about the deployment either.
Let's take a closer look at the details. The Vivo V29, like other V-series phones, relies on affordable camera performance. It has a 50MP main camera with a large 1/1.56" sensor (1.0µm pixels) and optical image stabilization, as well as Aura Light, a 15.6mm (0.6") LED ring, the largest in vivo history, ie. related to exposure. The 50-megapixel selfie camera has a wide-angle (22mm) autofocus lens with two proprietary LEDs, and if you push back a bit, there's also an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera.
The phone has a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display, a 120Hz 10-bit panel with a resolution of 1260 x 2800 pixels, which is between FHD+ and QHD+. It is powered by Snapdragon 778G+ with 8/12GB RAM and 256GB additional storage, 4600mAh battery with 80W fast cable charging (1-50% in 18 minutes, according to official data).
One new thing we learned about the V29 is that it will have an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. The phone will be available in Peak Blue, Starry Purple, Velvet Red and Noble Black versions, each enhanced with a unique glass back (Velvet Red, for example, has a UV tinting effect). Note that we've only seen blue and black color images so far.
